On December 18, 2023, Bali Forages and Scholars of Sustenance (SOS) joined forces with EBPP for an initiative to address malnutrition and stunting issues in Ban Village by distributing protein-rich food packages to 62 malnourished children, emphasizing the significance of high protein intake in the critical First 1,000 Days golden period of childhood development.
Bali Forages has carefully crafted food packages contained chicken chips, strategically chosen as a rich protein source with complete amino acids, zinc, vitamin A, and heme-iron. These chips not only offer a flavourful and convenient source of protein but also provide essential nutrients crucial for healthy growth and development.
This activity played a pivotal role in a larger stunting prevention campaign, by focusing on protein-rich food sources to raise awareness about the critical role of adequate nutrition, particularly protein, during the golden period of childhood. Stunting prevention is not only about addressing existing malnutrition but also about educating communities on the proactive measures needed to ensure optimal growth and development in children.
This collaborative initiative marked a significant step in EBPP’s ongoing efforts to address malnutrition in Ban Village by not only provided immediate relief but also contributed to a broader stunting prevention campaign, emphasizing the importance of sustained nutritional support for children during their crucial formative years.
