This week, we continued our efforts to prevent anaemia among all female adolescent students at EBPP’s 6 schools by distributing a total of 560 iron tablet supplements to all 56 students, with each receiving 10 tablets for a 10-week supply. Before handing out the supplements, we conducted a brief review session on anaemia and how to prevent it.
This marks the 7th time we have carried out this initiative, and it is rewarding to see that most students still remember key information about anaemia and its prevention. Many of them are actively incorporating iron-rich foods into their daily diets, such as eggs, chicken liver, fish, tempeh, and green vegetables.
Additionally, most of them take their supplements diligently once a week, with phone reminders helping them stay consistent. Good job, Girls!
