On 22 January, we observed and provided technical assistance to cadres at the Manikaji Asti Posyandu (Community Health Post) as part of our ongoing Posyandu cadres training with the 1000 Days Fund, aimed at strengthening their skills in child growth monitoring and stunting prevention.

During this session, we monitored the cadres’ work and reviewed the material from the previous training, ensuring that key concepts were reinforced. It also allowed us to ensure that all cadres—including those who couldn’t attend the initial training—gained the same essential knowledge and hands-on experience.

We were pleased to see that the Posyandu cadres took the initiative to plot children’s length/height on the WHO growth chart as trained during our 2nd training session last month—and did so with great accuracy! Moreover, they also interpreted the results correctly! This achievement highlights the importance of empowering Posyandu cadres to ensure that children’s growth is closely monitored from an early age.

We are proud of the dedicated cadres at Asti Hamlet! Their commitment is a major step in the fight against stunting.
