February is officially recognized as Balinese Language Month in schools and communities across Bali. Starting this year, EBPP proudly joined the celebration.

On 25 February 2025, EBPP students hosted their first-ever Bali Language Month event at the EBPP Ban office, marking a significant milestone for the schools.

In preparation for the event, Student Council members enthusiastically decorated the venue with Janur (young coconut leaves), creating an authentic Balinese atmosphere that added to the excitement.

The highlight of the celebration was the Dharma Gita (old Balinese songs) singing competition! A total of 26 Junior and Senior high students (13 pairs of boys and girls) from all EBPP schools competed, showcasing their talents. EBPP teachers, including me, took on the role of judges, ensuring a fair and professional evaluation.

In the end, Pengalusan School emerged as the champion (Anom and Ariani), while Darmaji School secured both second (Wija and Putri) and third places (Sri and Andika). This achievement brought great pride to the winners and their schools.

This marks the beginning of a new tradition for EBPP, and we look forward to celebrating Balinese Language Month in the coming years with even more diverse and exciting competitions.
