Our 6th EBPP Schools’ Gender Equality Sports Competition - including both volleyball and futsal - which started on 1 February, is currently underway and has created a vibrant atmosphere fueled by students’ high enthusiasm. Unlike previous competitions where each school sent only one volleyball and one futsal team, this competition has seen increase in participation, with multiple teams from each school competing in both sports—6 futsal teams and 6 volleyball teams, making a total of 12 teams.
The increased participation and growth in team numbers creates a significant opportunity for more students to engage and showcase their skills. It brings new energy and excitement to the competition, highlighting a stronger commitment to promoting gender equality and fostering a more inclusive environment. This shift demonstrates students’ increased passion about embracing the values of equality, both on and off the field.
Additionally, in this competition, we will invite other schools from outside EBPP. While these schools have not yet adopted mixed-gender teams, we hope that our strong commitment to gender equality will inspire discussions and encourage them to follow our lead. This will only be a friendly match, but the increased participation enhances the competitive spirit while promoting the values of equality, empowering students to engage in sports without gender barriers.
